PDA Elects Officers for 2009

AMERICUS -

The body of the Americus-Sumter Payroll Development Authority (PDA), at its Tuesday meeting, elected 2009 officers for the organization. It was also announced that long-time member, Scott Ivey, had resigned. No reason was discussed at the meeting. Ivey, who was not present at Tuesday's meeting, could not be reached for comment.

Officials are as follows: Paul Hall, chairman; Mike Donnelly, vice chairman; Jared Stevens, treasurer and Juanita Wilson, secretary.

Mike Fennessy was re-elected attorney of record, B.T. Johnson as accountant of record and the Americus Times-Recorder as legal organ of record.

Hall said he was looking forward again to serving as PDA chairman. He said the members of the PDA work well together, and they must continue to help bring

 

David Garriga, PDA executive director, said the Griffin Bell Quail Hunt is Jan. 23-24. Some of the people that have already committed, according to Garriga, are Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture Tommy Irvin, Lt. Governor Casey Cagle, GSW President Kendall Blanchard and Hugh Carter of the University System Board of Regents.

PDA members decided not to postpone the event in light of the recent death of Bell, because they felt he would have wanted the event to go on as planned.
