PharmaCentra Hosts Americus and Atlanta Community and Business Leaders for Ribbon Cutting and Open House

The newest operations center in PharmaCentra's growing domestic network will bring 135+ careers to rural Americus, Georgia.

WHAT: PharmaCentra hosted a ribbon cutting and open house for the community at its new operations center in Americus, Georgia. The Atlanta-based marketing and services firm provides customizable healthcare management programs for the pharmaceutical industry. The expansion is the latest in PharmaCentra's rural contact center model, which provides PharmaCentra with high quality employees and brings careers to rural communities - including the 135+ jobs created in Americus.

"We have deliberately chosen to locate our operations centers in rural South Georgia communities because of the exceptional quality of the workforce," said Dan Berman, chairman and CEO of PharmaCentra. "Americus is home to Georgia Southwestern University and South Georgia Technical College. As such, PharmaCentra has access to a very skilled, educated and motivated workforce."

This is the third operations center PharmaCentra has opened in South Georgia in the last year and a half. PharmaCentra also has locations in Swainsboro and Fitzgerald, Ga. The new facility will accommodate the tremendous growth of WellTouch^TM, PharmaCentra's signature patient compliance and persistency program. WellTouch^TM Healthcare Specialists encourage patients to immediately fill their first prescription, remind patients about refills, schedule physician appointments and provide medical resources.

WHO: The event is hosted by the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Americus Sumter Payroll Development Authority, Americus Sumter Chamber of Commerce, and PharmaCentra, LLC. In attendance were representatives from local and state government, local schools, college, university and businesses including:
