PDA almost ready to unveil web site

The Americus-Sumter Payroll Development Authority (PDA) is about a week away from the completion of its web site that will inform users about all the economic developments and possibilities in Sumter County.

 

Clayton Turner, web designer, gave the PDA members an update of the progress of the web site at a meeting Tuesday.

 

Turner said he thought as a business person looking for economic development opportunities in Sumter County as he designed the site.

 

David Garriga, PDA executive director, said it cost about $7,000 to develop the web site. Turner said the web site is predominately about economic development opportunities in Sumter County.

 

He said some of the sections on the web site are "news," "area data," "success stories," "statistics" and "links."

 

Turner said the web site will be a "living, breathing" entity that will change and update information as needed.

 

Turner hopes to get the PDA's web site link on other local web sites that positively promote Sumter County and vice versa.
